The Most Basic Commands that Every Windows User Should Know

There are many commands in Windows Operating System that every one should know about.These commands are of great help to us as they make our tasks easy and Help us to understand and Solve the problems more easily.

Commands ::


1) services.msc
When you will type services.msc in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Windows Services App.In this Window, Name of the Service,Description of Service,Status of the Service,Startup Type of the Service and Log on as, such Knowledge of the Services would be Shown.You can Easily Start,Stop and Configure the Settings for each and individual Service.It is quite helpful when you want to Toggle a Service.









2) mstsc
When you will type mstsc in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Remote Desktop Connection App which help you to connect to the other Windows User over the Local Network or anywhere in the World through the Internet.It help to use the Host Computer that you will connect to as if it is your Own Computer.










3) msinfo32
When you will type msinfo32 in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the System Information Window in which you will get the System Summary including your Hardware Resources,Components and the Software Environment.









4) sdclt
When you will type sdclt in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Backup and Restore Window which allows to Set up a Backup,Restore Files from Backup,Create a System Image and also help to create a System Repair Disk.









5) compmgmt.msc
When you will type compmgmt.msc in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Computer Management Window where you can access almost all the Advanced Windows Options like Shared Folder,Task Scheduler,Event Viewer,Device manager,Disk Management,etc.









6) cleanmgr
When you will type cleanmgr in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Disk Cleanup : Drive Selection Window in which you can clean up the unwanted disk space of the drive selected.









7) eventvwr.msc
When you will type eventvwr.msc in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Windows Event Viewer which stores up all the monitoring and troubleshooting messages.









8) control panel
When you will type control panel in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Control Panel from where you adjust your Computer settings related to System and Security,User Accounts,Network and Internet,Programs,etc.









9) mmc
When you will type mmc in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Microsoft Management Console(MMC) which is an Advanced Windows module which is mainly used at Administrator's Power as it supports all the tools required for Configuring and Monitoring a Windows System.









10) resmon
When you will type resmon in the Search Box and hit Enter, it will open up the Resource Monitor Window.This Window shows, how your Resources are utilized.It display Resources of the CPU,Disk,Network and Memory.










11) desk.cpl
When you will type desk.cpl in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Screen Resolution Window from where you can directly change the Resolution of the Screen.









12) taskmgr
When you will type taskmgr in the Search Box and hit enter, it will open up the Task Manager which shows up your Processes going on,Performance of your PC,Startup Apps, Services,etc.









13) main.cpl
When you will type main.cpl in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Mouse Properties Window where you can access the Mouse Settings like button setting,Pointer setting,etc.
















14) psr
When you will type psr in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Problem Step Recorder Utility which is used to record or show a certain Problem in Windows.




15) wscui.cpl
When you will type wscui.cpl in the Search box and hit Enter, it will open up the Security and Maintenance Window .In this Window you can see the Security and Maintenance Options and you can further adjust the Settings according to your wish.
